either可用作代詞，形容詞副詞和連詞。一般用於否定句中，具體用法：

either用作代詞時

意爲“兩者中的任何一個”，在句中可作主語和賓語。either在句中用作主語時，謂語動詞應爲單數形式。例如：

either of them can do the work.他們兩人中誰都能做這工作。

either of the students does well in their studies．兩個學生中，無論是誰學習都不錯。

either 用作形容詞時

意爲“兩者中任何一個的”，“兩邊中任何一邊的”，作前置定語用。例如：

He saw two films,but he did't like either one very much.他看了兩部電影，但哪一部他也不太喜歡。

either 用作副詞時

意爲“也……”，只用於否定句中例．如：
