Reiner, Carl

美國演員、作家、導演、製作人。出生於紐約布朗尼克區，在與凱撒合作演出電視喜劇影集《秀出你的本事》（Your Show of Shows, 1950～1954）之前已經活躍於舞臺上。1961到1966年創造並製作電視影集《範戴克秀》（The Dick Van Dyke Show），並以該劇贏得多項艾美獎。小說《加入笑料》（Enter Laughing）於1958年出版，1963年被改編爲舞臺劇，1967年改編爲電影。他也導演多部喜劇電影，例如《老爸在哪裏》（Where's Poppa, 1970）、《喔，上帝！》（Oh, God!, 1977）以及《致命的本能》（Fatal Instinct, 1993）。他的兒子羅伯.雷納（Rob Reiner, 1945～）在許多電視影集中演出，以在《甜蜜一家親》（All in the Family, 1971～1978）劇中扮演「角頭」（Meathead）開始成名。羅伯以《這就是骨椎穿刺》（This Is Spinal Tap, 1984）一片開始他的電影導演生涯，接着拍出如《站在我這邊》（Stand By Me, 1986）、《公主新娘》（The Princess Bride, 1987）、《當哈利碰上沙莉》（When Harry Met sally, 1989）、《戰慄遊戲》（Misery, 1990）、《軍官與魔鬼》（A Few Good Men, 1992）等賣座的片子。

Reiner, Carl

U.S. actor, writer, director, and producer. Born in the Bronx, N.Y., he acted on the stage before appearing with Sid Caesar in the television comedy series Your Show of Shows (1950-54). He created and produced The Dick Van Dyke Show (1961-66), for which he won several Emmy awards. His novel Enter Laughing (1958) was adapted as a play (1963) and a movie (1967). He directed such film comedies as Where's Poppa (1970), Oh, God! (1977), and Fatal Instinct (1993). His son Rob Reiner (born 1945) acted in various television series, becoming famous as "Meathead" in All in the Family (1971-78). Rob began his film-directing career with This Is Spinal Tap (1984), which was followed by such successes as Stand By Me (1986), The Princess Bride (1987), When Harry Met Sally . . . (1989), Misery (1990), and A Few Good Men (1992).
