什麼是前位限定詞

限定詞是在名詞詞組中對名詞中心詞起特指、類指以及表示確定數量和非確定數量等限定作用的詞類。限定詞可以分爲前位限定詞、中位限定詞和後位限定詞。

一、中位限定詞

定冠詞、不定冠詞/ this / that / these / those / my / your / Merry's / my friend's / some / any / every / each / no /

在名詞中心詞之前只能出現一個這樣的詞。

a the boy a some boy

二、前位限定詞

只能出現在某些中位限定詞之前

1. all, both , half

eg. all the girls, half an hour

2. 倍數詞 double, twice, three times

double the sum, twice my salary, three times the space 

3. 分數詞 one-third, one-fifth

One-third the time

4. such, what

such a surprise! What a fine day !

前位限定詞是互相排斥的，如不能說all both girls。

all such 是個例外。

個別限定詞有跨類現象。如such既屬於前位限定詞，又可歸入後位限定詞。由於它只是在 such a...和such an...這樣的搭配中屬於前位限定詞。而在與其他限定詞(some, any, no, all, few, another, other, many, one, two, etc)搭配時，such則是後位限定詞，一律放在上述這些限定詞的後面。

三、後位限定詞

接在前位限定詞或中位限定詞後面

1. 基數詞 my three children

2. 序數詞 the first day, the last day

(一般序數詞，last, next, past, another, additional, further)

3. 封閉類數量詞 few people

4. 開放類數量詞 a large number of people
